Mannamax combines the immune support of yeast cell wall extract with the rumen balancing effects of live active yeast. Yeast cell wall, is a natural component derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae with numerous benefits in livestock animal health. Beta-glucan and mannan derived from yeast cell wall increase immunity, block pathogens and bind potentially harmful substances. All this translates into improved animal performance.
In particular, beta-glucan has an established role in enhancing the strength of the immune system and preventing serious diseases by binding to surface receptors on immune cells thereby activating a sequence of events all targeted at enhancing immunity and the response to harmful pathogens. Mannan works as a binder of harmful bacteria and molecules. Once bound, these harmful elements leave the animal through the feces preventing infection.
Dry active yeast improves the energy balance in your livestock, maintains optimal digestion and health during the numerous transition periods in cattle. Rumen acidosis is a common problem due to ingestion of rapidly fermented carbohydrates. The acidosis worsens as various lactate producing bacteria become more abundant in the rumen leading to decreased feed digestion and nutrient extraction. Numerous methods have been attempted to restore proper microbial balance to the rumen to prevent rumen acidosis with feeding of live active yeast being the most common and efficient. Saccharomyces cerevisiae live yeast promotes lactate-utilizing bacteria activity while decreasing lactate-producing bacteria activity decreasing acidosis. Restoring a normal rumen pH allows efficient digestion and nutrient extraction.
