MGA-Blend 1 mg/lb of Melengestrol Acetate Medicated premix.

The active drug ingredient is Melengestrol Acetate

MGA is to be fed to heifers to Suppress Estrus for the following purposes:

For increased rate of weight gain, improved feed efficiency and suppression of estrus (heat) in heifers fed for slaughter. Mix into feed to provide 0.25 - 0.50 mg/head/day of Melengestrol Acetate in 0.50 - 2.00 lbs. of feed.

For suppression of estrus (heat) in heifers intended for reproduction. Mix into feed to provide 0.50 mg/head/day of Melengestrol Acetate in 0.50 - 2.0 lbs. of feed.

Caution: Heifers intended for reproduction; do not exceed 24 days of feeding. A reduced conception rate can be expected if heifers are bred at estruses observed within 1 to 12 days after withdrawal of Melengestrol Acetate, whereas heifers bred at subsequent observed estrus are expected to have normal conception rates.
