Directions For Use: Guidelines for Calcium and Phosphorus "Free Choice" Supplementation (2 options): For sheep consuming mixed or legume forages as pasture, hay or silage, use a rain-protected two-compartment mineral feeder or box with the following: Compartment #1: CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 Compartment #2 (MIXTURE): 2/3 Dicalcium Phosphate (18.5% phosphorus, 20-24% calcium) 1/3 CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 For sheep consuming grasses as pasture, hay or silage, or corn silage or large amounts of grains, use a rain-protected two-compartment mineral feeder or box with the following: Compartment #1: CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 Compartment #2 (MIXTURE): 1/3 Dicalcium Phosphate (18.5% phosphorus, 20-24% calcium) 1/3 Limestone (38% calcium) 1/3 CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 Recommended Rate Of Usage: Feed CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 free choice. Depending on class of sheep (growing lamb, lactating ewe, etc) and body weight, each animal should consume daily between 1/25 and 1/3 of an ounce of CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Caution: Follow label directions. The addition of feed of higher levels of the premix containing selenium is not permitted. CertiFeeD Ovine Min-Salt No. 45 does not contain vitamins A, D and E. In the case that the animal's diet lacks green forage (pasture, hay, silage) and the animal is housed in total confinement with no daily exposure to sunlight, either supplement the diet with vitamins A, D and E or use injectable forms of vitamin A and D, and vitamin E.
